1. What does a bookkeeper do exactly?

A bookkeeper helps manage the financial records of your business — tracking income and expenses, reconciling accounts, categorizing transactions, generating reports, and ensuring your financials are organized and accurate.

2. What industries do you specialize in?

I work with a wide variety of industries across the United States, including service-based businesses, online entrepreneurs, consultants, and small business owners. My approach is flexible and tailored to your specific needs.

3. How do you charge for bookkeeping services?

I charge hourly pricing for services. Since every business is a bit different and has different needs, a quick consultation will give me an idea of how much time will need to be allocated each month and I can give a rough estimate of what you should expect to be paying per month for services.

4. Will I still need a CPA/EA if I hire you?

Yes — bookkeepers and CPAs/EA's work together but provide different services. I handle the day-to-day financial tracking and organization, while your CPA/EA will handle tax preparation, filing, and tax strategy. Having clean books makes your CPA’s/EAs job easier (and can save you money on tax prep fees!).

5. What software do you use?

I work primarily with QuickBooks Online, but I’m experienced in a variety of cloud-based accounting tools depending on your needs. I also provide guidance on tools for invoicing, receipt management, and expense tracking.

6. How will we communicate and share documents?

I use secure cloud-based platforms for document sharing and communication. Most of my clients work with me virtually, so I’ve streamlined the process to be easy, secure, and stress-free.

7. Do you offer cleanup or catch-up bookkeeping?

Absolutely! If your books are behind or messy, I offer cleanup services to get everything caught up and organized before moving into ongoing monthly maintenance.

8. How do I know if I’m ready to hire a bookkeeper?

If managing your books is taking time away from running your business — or if you're unsure about your financial reports, taxes, or cash flow — it’s probably time to bring in a professional. I offer free consultations to assess where you’re at and how I can help.
